When I got accepted for the role of ‘Digital Marketing Executive’ at 27 Web Management, I was excited to get involved with the agency as soon as possible, because they were looking for someone who can be very hands-on and independent with clients and I felt I can be that.
This is my life as a Digital Marketer at 27 Web Management.
Hi – I’m Koray, a 22-year-old Journalism & Public Relations graduate from UWE over in Bristol. I didn’t have any clue where I wanted my career to go, so I figured to do a duel degree in the rough area, and then see which I prefer. Neither happened in the end – journalism was too boring and wordy and public relations was too intense for me, but I loved learning the subjects and found some things that I really did enjoy, and marketing was the main one.
I started to apply for digital marketing jobs locally and was very lucky to be chosen for an interview with 27 Web Management and to be given the opportunity for two weeks of trial – just to see how I’d like it, and if I think it’s the right option for me to join the team.
Starting my first day at 27 Web Management, I was given a brief overview of all our clients and was super excited to get to know the team and get stuck in with the work.
With no prior experience in the ‘marketing’ industry, I had to study and understand what needed to be done for 27 Web Management’s clients. Working alongside my good colleagues Dan, the Web Developer, and Andre, the Apprentice Software Developer, I quickly learned what I needed to do to get traffic to our clients and boost engagement.
Two months into working here and I’ve been given several big responsibilities like events managing a client’s tour which goes all over UK and Ireland to being able to create content and publish it to their social pages. It’s really great to be involved with such big projects, as it allows me to think at a different level and create some cool content! Having this experience really motivates me to work alongside my colleagues and pushes me to be more creative with my work whilst learning on the job too.
I’ve made friends here, and I’m grateful to be part of the 27 Web Management family, so if you’re unsure on a career path right now but really want to give digital marketing a go – I’d highly recommend 27 Web Management as an option, because we’re always looking for bright individuals who want to get stuck into work from clients, and look for experience.
Plus, there’s Pub Friday’s and a pool table, so there’s always that.
